Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Into the Land of Giants (Tarangire)
Karibu Tanzania! Upon your arrival, our expert guide shall welcome you at Kilimanjaro Airport or your Arusha hotel. Proceed for a brief orientation, and immediately, your safari starts right the way with a transfer to Tarangire National Park, home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population.
Upon arrival in Tarangire, the golden light this afternoon filters through ancient baobabs, and your first game drive brings herds of zebra, buffalo, and giraffe—plus lions if they’re feeling generous. You’ll sleep tonight surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Overnight Options (Tarangire):
- Budget: Zion Campsite
- Standard: Tarangire Safari Lodge
- Luxury: Lemala Mpingo Ridge Lodge
Day 2: Tarangire Sunrise → Serengeti Adventure Begins
After a sunrise game drive and breakfast in the bush, you drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the Serengeti National Park. Expect changing landscapes: green hills, volcanic slopes, acacia woodlands, and finally—the endless plains.
This afternoon, you enter the land where nature moves in great waves. Wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles roam freely. Predators lurk. And the air feels… alive.
Overnight Options (Central Serengeti):
- Budget: Pimbi Public Campsite
- Standard: Serengeti Kati Kati Camp
- Luxury: Melia Serengeti or Ole Serai Moru Kopjes
Day 3: Full Day Serengeti – The Migration Up Close
This is why you came. A full day to roam the open plains with no agenda other than following the rhythm of the wild. If it’s migration season (Dec–July), you might witness thousands of wildebeest crossing rivers or grazing in dusty lines. But even outside migration, the Serengeti always delivers.
Leopards nap in fig trees. Cheetahs scan the horizon. Elephants move in matriarchal silence. And you? You’re part of it now.
Overnight:
- Budget: Pimbi Public Campsite
- Standard: Serengeti Kati Kati Camp
- Luxury: Melia Serengeti or Ole Serai Moru Kopjes
Day 4: Another Wild Day – Personal & Unscripted
With three nights here, today can be tailored to your pace. Want to rise at 5AM for lions in the mist? Done. Want to sit quietly by a waterhole with a thermos of coffee and wait for the magic? We’ll bring the coffee.
This is the Serengeti Lion Safaris way: slow, intentional, and personal. Wildlife isn’t something we chase—it’s something we enter into.

The scenery shifts again—rolling farms, crater rim fog, and cool breezes.
After the mind-blowing Ngorongoro experience, start the ascend to the top of the rim, leave the conservation are and transfer for an overnight in Karatu, a small town near the crater with sweeping views and charming lodges. Perfect for one last cozy night in the wild.
Overnight Options (Karatu):
- Budget: Kudu Lodge
- Standard: Eileen’s Trees Inn

Day 6: Back to Arusha – But Not the Same
After breakfast, we take the scenic route back to Arusha. You can stop at a coffee plantation, a local craft market, or simply enjoy the quiet reflection after days full of sound, movement, and beauty.
We’ll drop you at the airport or your preferred lodge. And while the safari ends here—what you’ve felt, what you’ve seen—stays with you long after.
With Serengeti Lion Safaris, every day is more than a checklist of sightings. It’s an invitation to breathe with the land, move with the herd, and rediscover your sense of wonder.
